What’s in Store for BWBC 2022?
You can attend the Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference in-person at Mechanic’s Bank Arena or virtually on the Whova App. While we may be a one-day conference, there are unlimited opportunities for both virtual and in-person attendees to grow personally and professionally at BWBC 2022.
Amy Purdy has defied the odds throughout her life to accomplish some extraordinary things.
She grew up with a passion for snowboarding and travel, and despite fighting for her life and losing both of her legs below the knees to bacterial meningitis at the age of 19, her passion for life carried her not only to the upper echelons of athletics but to the dance floor of Hollywood and beyond.
Amy is a professional snowboarder and a three-time Paralympic medalist, making her the most decorated Paralympic snowboarder in US history.
Mark Schulman has enjoyed an unprecedented career for over 30 years as a first-call drummer for world-class rock and pop artists.
He was voted ‘Top 3 Pop-Rock Drummers’ in the Modern Drummer Reader’s Poll in 2014 and was the featured cover artist in the May 2019 issue of Modern Drummer. Mark has done four record-breaking world tours with P!NK and continues to work with her after 14 years.
BWBC Workshop Speakers present on a variety of topics to help attendees hone-in on their strengths and develop new skills. We will have 10 in-person and 10 virtual workshop options for you to choose from. Stay tuned for the release of our 2022 Workshop Lineup. Apply to be a workshop speaker here.

Power Pitch is a forum held at the Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference where entrepreneurs, local businesses, startups, and side-hustles have the opportunity to pitch their business or idea to win monetary prizes to invest in their business. For Power Pitch 2022, we’ve partnered with Kern Venture Group and KITE (Kern Initiative for Talent + Entrepreneurship).
Applications open on January 10, 2022. Any business headquartered in Kern County, CA can apply, including new businesses, businesses looking to expand, or entrepreneurs with a business idea.
Come showcase your company’s products and services to hundreds of attendees at the Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference. Our exhibitor booths give you the opportunity to develop relationships with potential clients, gain exposure for your business, and stay involved in our local community. Limited booths are available.
We know the importance of self-care. That’s why we offer our attendees a reprieve during conference day to meet with style + beauty experts in our Pamper Room. Gain access to the Pamper Room by adding a small donation to your BWBC ticket that directly benefits our R.O.S.E. Mentor Program. More details to come!
