The Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference Board announces Naomi Judd as 2016 Conference Keynote Speaker

February 16, 2016 – The Board of Directors of the Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference (BWBC) announced today that Naomi Judd is the 2016 conference keynote speaker.  Naomi Judd is a tour‐de‐force. She made country music history and charmed Hollywood, but her story is far more than a heartwarming rags‐to‐riches tale. It is a quintessentially American lesson in perseverance and the life‐altering power of positive thinking. “My message is to help people understand that our thoughts can help us or hurt us,” Naomi says. “Whatever we believe becomes our biology,” continued Judd. Her mission: to empower people through holistic health and wellness advocacy that incorporates the mind, body, and spirit.

In addition to the keynote speaker, the BWBC board proudly announced the Warm Up and Cool Down Speakers who both have roots in Bakersfield. Kicking off the day, will be Warm Up Speaker Amy Adams who is in her fifth contracted year with one of Las Vegas’ number one shows, Le Reve‐The Dream and the creator of the Garden Pathways Performance Arts Camp, which mentors children of all demographics through dance, vocal, and stage performance art.

As the day comes to a close, Cool Down Speaker Rachel Hollis will take the stage. Rachel is the founder of the popular lifestyle blog www.thechicsite.com and Los Angeles‐based event‐planning firm, Chic Events. At 27, she was named by Inc. Magazine as one of the “Top 30 Entrepreneurs under 30.” She has designed and produced fabulous parties for many of Hollywood’s elite, including Bradley Cooper, Rashida Jones, Al Gore, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ivanka Trump, Jamie King, and Cuba Gooding Jr. (just to name a few). Hollis is also the author of the Amazon Bestselling women’s fiction series, “The Girls” published by Lake Union Publishing.

“All three speakers embody this year’s conference theme to find your passion and brand your life. It is our hope that they will encourage and empower attendees to find their passions to live a life they love,” said Christina Springstead, 2016 BWBC Chair.

The 27th Annual Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference will be held on September 29th, 2016 at the Rabobank Convention Center.  The theme is: “Find Your Passion, Brand Your Life!”   This year is about women living their lives full of passion and turning that passion into the life they crave to live. Women often fantasize about turning their passion into a full-time profession.  We want to share the stories and life plan of women who have successfully used their passion to brand their lives and are living a life we admire, a life we watch and a life we attempt to emulate.

About the Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference

Twenty-seven years ago, a group of industrious like-minded women recognized that everyone who works inside the home or out, needs time to recharge as we face the rigors of the business world and balance of home life, and that women would thrive by having a space of their own to do so. As a result, in 1989, The Bakersfield Women’s Business Conference was founded and the first conference was held at Bakersfield College. The conference has been held annually since then, and has grown in attendance and workshops every year, with thousands of women coming together for one special day to learn, be inspired, recharge, and relax.
